Menno Liauw

Employee since 2002, strategist

Menno strives to zero in on the core of an assignment. Consequently, he ends up being more of a coach sometimes in order to arrive at the right phrasing of a question. In some cases he has the client take a few steps back before resuming full speed.

Showing what you have got and making sure it is really good is a key theme in his recommendations. As such, for a communication maker he pays an awfully lot of attention to what the client has to offer or their product or organisation. Menno does not believe in rigidly divided processes with the strategy department dumping a heft report crammed with none too refined points of view onto the creative power’s desk. That explains why strategy and creation go hand in hand at Vandejong.

For Menno, the start-up phase is the most fun. The moment when it comes time to set up a campaign, brand or event. He has been building projects since he was in secondary school, as chairman of the Rijksscholierenvereniging Gouda, chairman of the Stichting Activiteiten de Vooys, and as the founder and chairman of Utrecht’s society for Neerlandici Awater. He is also one of the initiators and board members of Stichting Neau. Before he joined Vandejong Menno worked for Eden design & communication.
