Marieke Kitzen

Employee since 2006, communication consultant

Reading one-sided reports on refugees made Marieke see red and prompted her decision to study Communications. After all, those in charge of communication control the audience’s perception. During her work placement at Vandejong she stood out for the passion that she put into her work. Vandejong was eager to keep her, but first Marieke wanted to travel to the Caucasus, where she helped set up a centre for independent media to encourage young Armenians to express their ideas and thoughts on paper, film and Internet. Helping people and organisations communicate more effectively is also what she does at Vandejong.
