100,000 holiday activity books

Press release 30 June 2005

For the second time, Anno has commissioned Vandejong to make an Anno holiday activity book to help the Dutch become more aware of history. The theme of the second Anno holiday activity book is ‘Traces of the Dutch Overseas’.

Anno goes abroad in the second holiday activity book. Anno shows not only the history of typical Dutch products such as tulips and black spotted cows, but also Dutch football stars. Anno teaches the readers about old fashioned sleuthing, cooking and a little bit of Russian, Afrikaans and Japanese. A variety of Dutch expats discuss their adventures overseas, and cartoon character Onno is back to travel through time. The second Anno holiday activity book is available for free at libraries to holiday-bound Dutch visitors.

Vandejong was part of the editorial staff again this year, and was also responsible for the design and production of the second Anno holiday activity book.
