New annual magazine about creative Amsterdam

Press release 4 November 2005

This Friday, the new Amsterdam Index magazine will be launched in the Lloyd Hotel in Amsterdam. This new international annual magazine focusing on creativity in Amsterdam is an initiative of BIS Publishers (publisher), Diana Krabbendam (editor in chief) and Vandejong (editing & design).

The makers wish to use the magazine to promote Amsterdam’s creative sector. The 248 page magazine looks at the city through the eyes of the creative people who live and work there, from fashion designers Viktor & Rolf to ad agency Wieden & Kennedy, filmmaker Hany Abu Assad to artist Jennifer Tee, rapper Bad Brya and many young talents who are bound to become tomorrow’s important artists.

A number of the 10,000 copies of the magazine will be on sale in the Netherlands, and the rest will be sold abroad. Vandejong is organising a launch party hosted by DJ Eddy de Clercq on 19 November. The public is invited to attend the party.
